Amazon has a business unit that manages web services. They are called Amazon Web Services. This service offers various web services. In regards to utility computing there are in particular the services EC2, S3, and SQS.

This service provides provisioning and management of computing resource through web service calls, basically implements utility computing, and translated into the world of web hosting it offers web hosting by the hour. For 0,10 USD per hour, plus traffic costs.
